One of the most requested feature that myemail users keeps asking us is "How can I access myemail from my smartphone" or "How can I read myemail messages from my desktop email application?" Well now you can!
All you need to do is add your myemail account in your mail client with the following settings:
- Incoming server: pop3.live.com, port 995
- Outgoing server: smtp.live.com, port 25
Just remember to put in your full myemail username (for example kamarul@myemail.my) and password. All incoming server connections require SSL. Here are instructions on how to configure it on your Microsoft Outlook, also available on our FAQ.
- Open your Outlook. Go to Tools, Account Settings, New.
- Choose Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP.
- Check manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next button.
- Choose Internet E-mail and then clicks on Next button.
- Enter user information (name and myemail address), server information and your myemail logon information
- For server information, please enter as following:
- Account type : POP3
- Incoming mail server: pop3.live.com
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com
- Note: You can choose to have outlook remember your myemail password on your behalf
- For server information, please enter as following:
- Click on More Settings button and new window will open namely Internet E-mail Settings.
- In Advanced tab, set port number as below:
- POP3: 995
- SMTP: 25
- Check Leave a copy of messages on the server if you want the server keep your myemail email.
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: Auto
- In Outgoing Server tab, check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Click OK button and Internet E-mail Setting window will be closed.
- In Advanced tab, set port number as below:
- Before you complete all the setting for your myemail outlook account, it is advisable for you do a test.
- To do so, just click Test Account Settings button from Add New E-mail Account window.
- To know whether your myemail account accessible via outlook, both task status for incoming and sending email; should be completed
- Note: If any of your task status failed, ensure that your account settings follows our instructions. If you have followed every single step provided here and the status remains failed, please check your antivirus settings.
- Click Close button in Test Account Settings window and click Next on Add New E-mail Account window.
- You will receive Microsoft Office Outlook Test Message email in your inbox.
You are now ready to use your myemail email via outlook.
