Murugessan, who on Friday had criticised Samy Vellu for invoking his presidential power to sack four MIC leaders, will remain in the central working committee.

Samy Vellu, who did not give a reason for dropping Murugessan, told the Johor MIC convention yesterday that the party would be destroyed if he did not take prompt action against the critics.
